Legislation
Faroese legislation does conform to all relevant international conventions and codes, such as SOLAS, MARPOL. STCW Tonnage Convention, Load Lines and others.
Faroese law is applicable to all vessels that are registered in the Faroe Islands International Ship Register FAS. Legal disputes are generally determined by the Faroese Court
The Faroese Maritime Authority (FMA) is responsible for the administration of FAS registered vessels.
